M.Sc. candidate

Supervisors: AndrĂ©, RochonJean Carlos Montero-Serrano

Research topic: The main purpose of this MSc research project is to perform a multi-proxy study (including the analysis of dinoflagellate cysts assemblages, bulk mineralogy and elemental geochemistry) on sediment cores collected in the continental margin of the Canadian Beaufort Sea, in order to better constrain sea-surface conditions and sediment dynamic within the western Canadian Arctic during the last 2000 years.

Progress update: Actually, I am compiling a comprehensive literature review on dinoflagellate cysts assemblages and bulk mineralogy within the western Canadian Arctic, performing the sediment sampling, and completing training on the palynological preparation.
