Research topic: Geological settings of Wager Bay, west of Hudson Bay, remains poorly known. To provide a better knowledge, the Geological Survey of Canada start a Geo-mapping for Energy and Minerals (GEM) program. The scientific questions of this master are to establish the regional pattern of deglaciation, to draw the marine limit and to interpret is influence on sediment redistribution and composition. The main activity suggested are marine shores dating with cosmogenic isotopes (10Be), interpretation of aerial photography and till geochemistry analyses.

Progress update: Field samples and observations were mostly collected in July 2015. The remaining field observations will be done by june-august 2016. A preliminary version of 56H-south surficial deposits map is done (May, 2016). The regional pattern of ice retreat is about to be done (due date ; September 2016). Still waiting for the 10Be dates results. Analyses of till geochemistry will be done by January 2017
