Research topic: The aim of this project is to constrain the Si budget and flux from western Arctic to eastern Canadian basins (Baffin Bay and Labrador Sea).Chemical data (Si in the water column from CCGS Amundsen missions) will be combined with isotopic gradient (30Si) from sponges, and perhaps diatoms, through a collaboration with the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. In parallel, a modelization approach will be investigated through a possible collaboration with the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research.
