Supersivor: Bruno Tremblay
Co-supersivor: David Straub
Starting date: September 2017
Research topic: We study turbulent heat fluxes beneath sea-ice leads in the Arctic Ocean, using a high resolution non-hydrostatic configuration of the MITgcm. The goal is to better understand small scales convective mechanisms of the mixing layer and of the cold halocine layer below.
Progress update: The project has just begun. A research stay with the co-researchers in ISMER-UQAR is planned.
